The kernel you got from my web site (1.5ZA) should work fine for you if you
hook up a serial console. I didn't even think of this! Of course if you want
to try to use Murray's 1.6 stuff, go for it :)

Hi,
	I got the same symptoms as you running graphics console. Serial
console works 
great. I built the -current stuff myself, however I used a recent snapshot 
(1.5ZA or ZC IIRC) from pub/NetBSD/arch/alpha/snaphosts/ on ftp netbsd
server 
IIRC to start with. Try that one. If you want I can put a snapshot on my ftp

server sometime, just email me a request. Then I updated toolchain and built

kernel all over NFS. Building userland as we speak....
	Its worth going over the SRM settings. Have a look at the FreeBSD
doco on 
AS2100's. If you need any help with these just email.
