You can't flash a new BIOS for a 2->3 upgrade, but you used to be able to 
get a 2->3 upgrade from Mylex that consisted of two new flash chips.  Dunno 
if you still can, though.

The BIOS config isn't for configuring new disk arrays.  It's only for a few 
"system" values.
