hi there...

long time since I've been around, my alpha has been offline for nearly
18 months...

I'm running 1.6 dist, with mozilla built out of pkgsrc... I've seen a few
comments on here about upgrading to the ld.elf_so from -current in order
to get mozilla to run faster, and I've done that, but it's still slow as
sin... no unaligned access errors are echoed to the launching tty, however.

Am I on the right track? Do I have to rebuild anything in order to take
advantage of the new ld.elf_so? Is my system just arse-slow?

Similarly, I have a few miscellaneous woes with the XFree 4.2.1 install
that I grabbed from someone on here ... (I think it was mel's package,
but I'm unsure now...) ... particularly, keyboard auto-repeat is still
borked as it had been since Simon's XF 4.0.2 binaries first popped up
a while ago. Is there a solution to this? I'm using the wscons drivers.

Rxvt dies with an interesting error if you attempt to paste from it:
rxvt: XError: Request: 18 . 0, Error: 2

Lastly, is there a known fix for the ghastly green artifacts that I'm
getting in mplayer with the MGA driver?

Below, I've included my dmesg and X11 keyboard section for your review.

Thanks!

Cheers,

/Andrew
