Maybe you should look for a kernel from a recent -current snapshot. The
need for a TCWSCONS kernel is gone in -current and thus a GENERIC kernel
should support local framebuffer console. (Look at ftp://www.netbsd.org/
ftp://releng.netbsd.org/)
