Salut,

As a side note, I have disabled SMP over christmas, and the machine still
crashed in the same way. I have attempted to send a break to it using the
VT420, and while the break apparently was transmitted (it worked when I
tested it later), I didn't get a ddb.

I guess the only chance is really to take a second alpha and to test it on
that one, with kgdb and all. I only wonder whether I'll be able to
reproduce the problem.

Should I post further information to some place?
