This is the "frequency" figure from ntp_adjtime?  It is oddly jumpy; it
doesn't look good to me, but I don't know what to make of it.

A log over the last two-plus hours is up for ftp from
ftp.rodents.montreal.qc.ca at /mouse/misc/ntp-log.txt.  Once a minute,
it's been running "date; date ++%%s=%s; ntpdc -c loopinfo; ntptime;
ntpdate -q 10.0.1.1" (10.0.1.1 is the NTP server on that subnet; the
alpha is configured as broadcastclient - oh, come to think of it, could
that be related?).

That too stays constant for some 20 minutes at a time, then glitches,
with the plateau values all over the place.  See the log....
