You need newer PCIe - I couldn't even get it to work in a Sun T1000 (didn't
work on the hardware layer). There are rumours that some old implementations
with pice rev1.0 existed, but they will be quite hard to find (not sure if
the (passive?) adapter or the nvme itself is the one that needs to deal).
