if you know FreeBSD, NetBSD should not be a problem.

unfortunately i have same chipset. very bad choice. forget of working
builtin ethernet for now.
works
1) almost fine on FreeBSD-current, ethernet "supported" but quickly locks
up and renders unusable
2) NetBSD-current works fine except ethernet, there is available patch
that behaves exactly as FreeBSD.
3) don't run NetBSD-2.0.2 - lots is unsupported system not much useful
it's Nvidia, company that's famous of not giving any information on their
hardware, just binary drivers (with lots of bugs).
