nope - nothing in /var/log/messages.
using those acpi flags makes the machine work as expected :)

this command is (without acpi flags) also veeeeery slow.
I mean "vmstat vm 1" refreshes every 2 or 5 seconds.
and there are a lot of Interrupts:
50134 Interrupts
1 cpu0 softclock
<...>
50064 cpu0 irq9
1 cpu0 irq14
<...>
100 cpu0 clock
with the "acpi" flags on, interrupts are about 200 (100 cpu0 softclock
and 100 cpu0 clocks ; softnet and irq9 vary from none to 4).
I saw those flags for MP but didn't thought it would affect mono-proc
machine.
