Dear amd64 port maintainers,
should amd64 SMP work fine on Intel Core 2 (Merom) ?
"Merom is the first Intel mobile processor to feature the Intel 64
64-bit architecture."

There are several models. dmesg says T5600.
I've installed both, netbsd-4/i386 (20070411 sources), and
netbsd-4/amd64 (20070411 snapshot) on that recent HP Compaq laptop.
As for netbsd-4/i386 GENERIC.MP,
- it boots and works perfectly fine
- SMP works, two cpus are recognized
- sound doesn't work (I will address this on another email to
port-i386. this mail is just about SMP on amd64)
- see dmesg below
As for netbsd-4/amd64 GENERIC.MP,
- need to disable "azalia" audio driver to let it boot (otherwise it
hangs before mentioning this driver. I'll eventually address this
later, once the SMP question is cleared and once the driver actually
works on that Intel ADI Hight def sound card within i386)
- only one CPU recognized
