dual dual-core Opteron reboot during boot

Hi

Im currently running NetBSD 4.0.1 on a dual dual-core system (2xOpteron 290
- 4 cores total on a Tyan K8WE mb).. seems like I cant switch to a mp
kernel.. I have the whiole system up and running with the GENERIC kernel..
but if I either switch to GENERIC.MP (I even tried during installation) or
build a new kernel with 'options MULTIPROCESSOR' the system will just reboot
itself during boot at the point the application processors start (just after
wd0 dteection on dmesg).. I simply don't know what to do.. any clues?
