Boot problems with NetBSD 9.2

Hello,

I have a laptop with an AMD fx7500 cpu. I have installed netbsd 9.2 on
a second drive and am booting netbsd (or trying to boot) from that
drive.

I have installed the system using the NetBSD-9.2-amd64.iso image. The
system installed fine. When i try to boot into netbsd, it shows me
this on screen

mem [range-list]

where range-list is more than one pair of hex numbers (seem to me like
addresses) separated with a dash (-). The system sometimes hangs
there. Sometimes it gets to the menu where it displays a menu (boot
menu) that has menu items as such: "1. Boot normally", "2. Boot single
user" and "3. Drop to boot prompt".

At what stage in the boot process is this mem [...] text being displayed?

Why would this not pass this stage?

If this process is slow, why would I see this kind of performance problem?

I did not see this on virtualbox when I installed netbsd 9.2 on a
virtual machine.

There are other problems as well after I choose to boot normally. At
that time, it is really slow in running through the memory pages (i
believe it goes through memory at that stage) that is being shown
after the line "default boot twice, skipping", where it is displaying
numbers and a spinning wheel (text).

Why would this be slow?

On virtualbox this just spins very fast and goes on to display the
diagnostics messages.
