File permission problems with mount_ados
Hi. I have an archive of text files on an AmigaDOS partition (Data-1:) that
I am mounting under NetBSD-amiga 1.2_ALPHA (jun 8 1996). The permission are
strange, and I am unable to access the files. Viz:
The AmigaDOS partitions are mounted at boot time:
[...]
/dev/sd0f /Data-1 ados ro 0 0
I can access the drive just fine :
rat@coredump /Data-1 439% ls -l
total 3
1 drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 512 May 31 17:54 Music/
1 drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 512 Jan 27 1996 NewSamples/
1 drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 512 Jun 8 11:38 Text/
2 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 848 Nov 15 1995 disk.info
But I cannot access the files in the 'Text' directory, even though their
permissions indicate I should be able to (although the g-rwx is weird).
I vaguely remember playing with 'Protect' under AmigaDOS, but can't
remember what I actually did :
rat@coredump /Data-1/Text/Cities 441% ls -l
total 330
5 -rwx---r-- 1 root wheel 4470 May 31 17:41 Campbell*
14 -rwx---r-- 1 root wheel 13276 May 31 17:41 LosAltos*
14 -rwx---r-- 1 root wheel 13077 May 31 17:41 LosGatos*
253 -rwx---r-- 1 root wheel 254702 May 31 17:41 Misc*
14 -rwx---r-- 1 root wheel 13075 May 31 17:41 Moffett*
15 -rwx---r-- 1 root wheel 14239 May 31 17:41 Mt.View*
6 -rwx---r-- 1 root wheel 5137 May 31 17:41 San Jose*
12 -rwx---r-- 1 root wheel 11233 May 31 17:41 Saratoga*
Weird permissions... World-readable means anyone can read them, I figure:
rat@coredump /Data-1/Text/Cities 442% more Saratoga
Saratoga: Permission denied
I can read them as root, but becoming root all the time is lame.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I assume this is an AmigaDOS
issue, but I don't remember enough ADos to know how to fix it...
