Serial console support in kernel?

Hi, all,

Now that the A2232 works, I'd like to know how to configure a kernel to
use the serial for the initial console.

I understand that the ite corresponds to the grf, and the grf to the
grf??... if I want to use the internal serial, can I put:
ite0 at ser0
?

How would I set the serial port parameters?

I also have to do this on two other machines: one an i386 NetBSD and one
an i386 FreeBSD.
