Timer issues?
Hi,
On all of my Amigas, I'm seeing:
timecounter: Timecounter "CIA B" frequency 715909 Hz -- Insufficient hz, needs
at least 191
Is this why my ping times are in multiples of 10 ms?
64 bytes from 192.80.49.10: icmp_seq=0 ttl=243 time=50.001 ms
64 bytes from 192.80.49.10: icmp_seq=1 ttl=243 time=10.000 ms
64 bytes from 192.80.49.10: icmp_seq=2 ttl=243 time=20.001 ms
64 bytes from 192.80.49.10: icmp_seq=3 ttl=243 time=10.000 ms
64 bytes from 192.80.49.10: icmp_seq=4 ttl=243 time=10.001 ms
What's the "191" mean? 191 x 10^5? It doesn't make much sense. On mac68k
and VAX, similar values are suitable:
timecounter: Timecounter "VIA1 T2" frequency 783360 Hz quality 100
timecounter: Timecounter "diagtimer" frequency 1000000 Hz quality 100
Any ideas why this changed?
John
