Hi,

how can I run my old a.out binaries under NetBSD 1.6/Netwinder?

I tried to compile a new kernel with the option COMPAT_AOUT, but the compile
run failed with the following error:

<snip snip>

sh ../../../../conf/newvers.sh
cc  -ffreestanding -g -O2 -march=armv4 -mtune=strongarm -Werror -Wall -Wno-main
-Wno-format-zero-length -Wpointer-arith -Wno-uninitialized  -Dnetwinder -I.  -I.
./../../../arch -I../../../.. -nostdinc -DDIAGNOSTIC -DTLP_MATCH_21142 -DMAXUSER
S=32 -D_KERNEL -D_KERNEL_OPT  -c vers.c
ld -T ../../../../arch/netwinder/conf/kern.ldscript -X -o netbsd ${SYSTEM_OBJ} v
ers.o
exec_conf.o(.text+0x30):/usr/src/sys/arch/netwinder/compile/AOUT_NFS/../../../..
/kern/exec_conf.c: undefined reference to `emul_netbsd_aout'
*** Error code 1

Any suggestions?

Stefan
