Right.  I do have a patch that sort of implements rescan.  All it does
at the moment is marks a known device for reattach.  I never dug deep
enough to get the usb subsystem to rescan a bus for devices.  I can make
a patch available if anyone is foolish^Wbrave enough to try it.
