Ok, I'll use as recommended. But in the meantime I downloaded those 8
files from upstream and those worked as well.

But my next problem is that ethernet doesn't work. I think that is
reported in other threads also.

[A bit surprising. For years, across OSes, at various stages of their
evolutions, along with hardware's evolution, what almost always worked out
of the box was only ethernet! Sad to see that break.]

To get ethernet (without risking buying another hardware such as usb wifi
or ethernet device), is -current the only option? I had other pkg level
difficulties with -current, but I'll have to deal with them if -current is
the only way to get network working.

In summary, please advise if there are any options on 8.0 itself to get
network working.

Else, please advise what will be relatively more stable option in -current
- e.g. would armv7 be better than aarch64 on stability?
