     I got this too with that kernel, and a Conner CFS drive.
     
     I then used multi user mode, upgraded the kernel and /usr mounts fine.
     I have other problems too but I don't think they are connected.
     
     Try Kernel 4190, which is what I use. I don't need anything later yet 
     - not until I get RiscOS 3.6, when I can use the CD-Rom drive 
     currently plugged into my machine's power supply.
