I am trying to install RiscBSD 1.2-beta on my new 2.55GB Quantum Sirocco
IDE drive, and have fallen at the first hurdle.
Having configured the bootloader as detailed in the installation guide, I
clicked on 'BOOT' and was rewarded with a tasteful set of coloured bands at
the top of an otherwise grey screen. The floppy image wasn't accessed at all.
I have a 20+2MB RPC 700 on which I have run a previous release of
RiscBSD using a smaller (1.3GB) drive. I've tried allocating RISC OS
partitions of various sizes from 512MB to 1GB, and the crash occurs with
all these. It also happens when I use the bootloader from 1.1-beta.
Any ideas? Could it be the fact that the hard disc is > 2GB, and hence the
size won't fit in a signed int? Something similar crashed Hform until ART
kindly sent me a recent development version.
