unixfs uses information in the Risc OS partition of a diocs to find the
RiscBSD partition - if you dedicate an entire disc to RiscBSD, there's no
Risc OS partition - so unixfs dosn't work. IMHO this is a problem with
unixfs. to transfer stuff from Risc BSD to Risc OS youre either going to
have to use floppys or if you're on a lan ftp and nfs etc...

if you mean you ADFS::4 drive which Risc BSD ignores completly you can use
one of the HD spindown programs for Risc OS (!SpinCtrl and !Spindown spring
to mind) - if it's a mounted drive under Risc BSD - it won't spin down, Risc
BSD access the discs at regualler intervals so the drive never idels long
enough. (see 'man update' for details).

This actually reminds me of a bug which I forgot to tell anyone - I had a 5
minuite spindown delay on my Risc BSD disc from when it was a Risc OS disc,
beacause of update etc, it never spun down until the day I hung around in
single-user mode whilst I went to get lunch (I'd left it fscking)- when
I came back it had finished fscking with no errors so I pressed control-D to
go multiuser, unfortyunatly in the meantime the hd had spundown, and didn't
spinup again fast enough for the kernels licking - panic...

X has a fixed number of 'slots' in it's palette - if you use them all, you
can't have any more colours, most programs have an -install option to get
around this.

nope sorry!
