I have a Quantum Fireball TM 3.2GB IDE Disk that works fine with RiscBSD and
RiscOS.
It has a 490MB ADFS partition with RiscBSD partitions taking up the
remaining space. I find the drive very quick in use taking less CPU time
to complete a request than the Conner 850MB driver I also use for RiscBSD.
These drives worked fine with ARM610, RiscOS3.5, without the new filecore
and continue to work well in RiscOS 3.7 with a StrongARM.

This is a idea. I'll mail you more specific details of my machine
setup when I get home.
