Sorry to bother everyone but I'm stuck!! This stuff has me totally frustrated
after 2 solid days of trying I am no further forward with the installation
procedure. Basically I keep getting to the point of defining the root, swap and
/usr partitions - installer goes away and then returns with "not enough space
on filesystem....".
I am trying to install BSD onto a RiscPC SA 18Mb RAM with a 1.6Gb Samsung IDE
drive connected to an ICS IDE interface (1v5a3v17) with the following
parameters :
Risc OS Partition : 100Mb (0 - 203cyl)
Risc BSD : Remainder (204 --->3121)
drive parameters 3121 cyl, 16 heads, 63 sect, 512 byte
Have tried using both BtRiscBSD 2.87 & 2.88 with assorted kernels and root
devices selected all resulting in same error- can anyone suggest what I should
be setting the configuration to?? Documentation is very sketchy on this subject
and I am no expert on setting up unix. I have even tried implementing Xemplar's
draft installation instructions and still get the same error and dumped into
the debugger.
Is this a case of the ICS interface being no use?
Am I just a complete idiot?
Can someone please help - do you need more info?
Im just off now to hit my head on a very, very hard brick wall.
