I believe that cc1 and cc1plus from the 1.3 release build don't actually
work properly... Though I can't actually remember exactly what was wrong
with them and whether or not it was only shared libs that were affected.
Anyway, try cc1 and cc1plus from 1.3alpha. I've put the versions that I
use on ferret in case you haven't got easy access to them... ftp to
ferret.lmh.ox.ac.uk, /users/xelah/cc. You could perhaps try those?

I've got versions compile from -current sources but I haven't actually
tested those yet.
