Sorry about the noise, it was sort of a false alarm. Although things are
still a bit fishy...

Last night I "upgraded" the Shark with a new 2Gb 2.5" disk and now the thing
positively flies!

So, it looks like last Saturday's -current doesn't like the old 200Mb 2.5"
disk which was replaced. I'll see if MB's new IDE code being merged this
week sorts it.
