As the Promise Ultra 33 has been discontinued, we are looking for an
alternative 33MHz PCI IDE controller for our systems. Has anybody done any
work on getting other PCIIDE controllers to work under NetBSD? The only one
I can find is a SIIC UltraIDE Controller. If nobody has started work on any
other 33MHz PCI IDE controllers, I would be interested in getting this SIIC
working, but where do I find out what the BIOS code contains so I can put it
into NetBSD? How was the BIOS code for the Promise obtained and implemented
under NetBSD?
