I reattached my Acorn SCSI card to my RiscPC last night to be
confronted with the following problem. The card is probed correctly and
it correctly identifies the devices attached. Unfortunately the kernel
stops at this point and refuses to continue booting. The last time I
booted my machine with this card in it the SCSI probe was done as soon
as the card was attached and I notice that it is now defered until the end
of the boot sequence.

Is there some modification in the SCSI driver required to support this
change or should the existing driver continue to work unaltered?

As kernel can be interrupted at this point it seems like it is waiting
for some internal event before the kernel continues booting.

Any suggestions?

Mike
