Hi,
As we seem to be heading towards shared ELF binaries and therefore shared
userland, would it be worth merging the port-arm26 and port-arm32 lists into
port-arm? This may make more sense as the other platforms shift out so
people just see one point of reference for arm questions.
I believe that a lot of people on the arm26 are probably on the arm32 list.
Both lists are low volume (although perhaps arm32 has been more active
recently, but I view that as a good sign :)
I'm not sure if this fits with other platforms or not, eg I note that sparc
has a sparc and sparc64, there's the hp300 and hp 700 lists, and there's also
lots of 68k lists. However I believe that arm hardware may have a lot more
in common than other platforms, especially arm26 and arm32 on the RISC-OS
running systems.
Anyway it's just a thought. Does anyone have strong view either way?
Cheers,
Chris
