IIRC the kernel as compiled by Leo has support for
two virtual consoles. If you cannot use the second,
you'll have to increase the size of the ST memory
pool.

To get more than two vc's: add a couple of grf's and
ite's to the config file (I assume the upper limit is
10), adjust the number of views, increase the size of
the ST memory pool accordingly, and recompile the
kernel.
