ksyms and atari

I've been a bit curious about ksyms because it's an option that's enabled by 
default for the x86 kernel but not present at all in the atari config file.  I 
was able to build an atari kernel with ksyms enabled.  Anyone know how to test 
that it's functional?  Would it make sense to enable by default for the atari 
kernel?
