i got this new cats box (well, new to me), finally got some time to
set it up, and i've ended up with a few questions.
(1) is the serial console expected to work for an install?
(2) can i continue to admin the box via the serial console after the
install has been done?
(3) is it considered easier simply to stick with the vga/keyboard
console?
i ask because it sometimes seems to ignore the serial console input
(it prints stuff, but doesn't seem to notice when i type), has
"trouble" netbooting:
boot> boot de0:
net_open: client addr: 206.223.36.141
net_open: client name: is.graffiti.com
net_open: server addr: 206.223.36.132
net_open: server path: /space/cats/root
net_open: bootfile=netbsd.aout
using TFTP
Loading de0: to 10000000
netbsd: 3518464DEC ethernet: Read failed return=8000000b
DEC ethernet: Read failed return=8000000b
DEC ethernet: Read failed return=8000000b

Calling 0xf0000020
(hang)
and when it seems it should be fine, it still doesn't "work":
boot> boot de0:
net_open: client addr: 206.223.36.141
net_open: client name: is.graffiti.com
