Hi all
I had good luck getting the DC to boot up with the precompiled kernel,
and got my /etc/bootparams set. The DC will load the kernel (ipload)
and boot, and even do nfs mount on the root fs, but then it just hangs
in /sbin/init (shortly after consuming this file from nfs). I'm new
to BSD (but a linux hack most of the time) and curious what I'm doing
wrong. For the record, here's a lot of possibly irrelevant info:
Files on root file system come from:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/hpcsh/snapshot/
Pkgs installed: base.tgz etc.tgz
I did 'MAKEDEV all' on a linux box in /export/home/arty/bsd/dev
/etc/exports:
/export/home/arty/bsd 10.0.0.170(rw) 10.0.0.172(rw,no_root_squash)
/etc/bootptab:
spidey:dn=genxnet.com:ds=10.0.0.1:gw=10.0.0.1:rp=/export/home/arty/bsd:
sm=255.0.0.0:ha=00D0F102AEEE
kernel:
http://www.roadsign.com/dc/
The last message I get from the DC (on my 1084s is)
Mounted root on 10.0.0.164:/export/home/arty/bsd
Then it seems to hang.
