Hi, I'm new to BSD and the DC. Actually got the DC because I had read the
history of BSD article on Daemon news, and saw info about the port.
I got the bootable kernel from crossrads.com. It boots fine, but of
course craps out when looking for the root fs.
I then burned an ISO of what I thought was the hpcsh snapshot (base.tgz
and etc.tgz).
The DC tries to mount the fs, but then hangs when it can't find
/dev/console
I have now d/l'd the most current hpcsh snapshot, with all the
tgz's. However, when I look inside the tgz's I don't see a /dev/console
there either.
I know I'm doing something wrong, but not quite sure what.
Anyone have any suggestions?
-pulling on my flame-retardant pants,
Andy
BTW - my DC is built in Sept, 2000 and it boots from a CDR fine.
