is gcc 3.0 a dev version or something? i just built a lfs (linux from
scratch) distribution and i used the latest stable gcc, which was 2.95.3. if that
is a dev version than that may explain some of the troubles with compiling the
kernel (i didnt read much into what the problems were, so i dunno) that or
one of those buggy versions of libc, i know glibc 2.2.2 is still a little
buggy, so i opted for 2.2.1. I dont know how much of this applies to netbsd the
same as linux because it's been a while since i used *BSD, so i am prolly way
off. but either way i would still be interested in that tar of your gcc.
thanks for the response.
