ok, since this is a bsd mailing list i'm guessing answers will heavily favor
bsd but which do you all think is further along at running on the dc? i know
that linux can run X in the framebuffer on the dc, i dont know if that is
possible on netbsd yet but when i get my bba tomorrow (that's when ups says
it'll be here) i will have to try compiling X with the linux/sh port in netbsd
(it will prolly take a lot of work to get working). If any of you want more
info on Linux for DC, go to http://www.m17n.org/linux-sh/. i think that if we
gather some info from the linux/sh port on things not included as of yet in
the netbsd dc port than there can be a lot more advances for netbsd on the dc
(X really is possible and not too far away, unlike what some people on this
list were saying earlier). the thing that the netbsd port seems to have a lot
more of is support tho, there is very little info about the linux port and
very few people use it, but as this list shows netbsd developement on the
dreamcast is very alive. i dunno if any of this will help or anything or if it's
all old news to you guys but i thought it might be good to get some of this out
there if it has a chance to progress things for the netbsd port. well that
is about all for me.
