To follow up to myself, I've tried gcc TOT and it fails miserably. I
compiled a kernel. The kernel works fine when compiled with the gcc
from gnu/dist/toolchain, but gives an address exception at boot time
when compiled with cvs gcc.

Which cvs gcc version is supposed to work?
