After looking over Josh's kernel config and realizing that the only real
error I had in my own cusotm kernel was not putting in "root on rtk0 type
nfs", I was able to get my kernel to boot and at least get DHCP info.
However, very soon after this (and I'm not sure how soon; one of the
drawbacks of having my DC hooked up to the TV is that it's hard to pry my
wife away from it in the evenings, so I only got a brief look), I got a
nasty message:

/bin/sh terminated abnormally, going to single user mode.

I looked around on mail-index.netbsd.org for all architectures, and the
responses I saw there about this seemed to indicate this stems from an
incompatibility between the kernel and the /bin/sh binary. I'd be a bit
surprised by this, though, considering that Josh's world was 1.6F and I was
just building my kernel from 1.6-release.

Since I'm sitting here at work with no way to recover from a bad reboot, I'm
a bit hesitant to just rebuild /bin/sh and reboot until tonight. Meanwhile,
any other ideas on why this might occur?
