Oof! That's unfortunate! While you can remount root w/ 1k blocks,
your swap is still using the 4k block size!
You should try building a kernel with:
options NFS_BOOT_RWSIZE=1024
That way, when root/swap are mounted at boot time, they'll use 1k
blocks by default.
