I would like to propose some additions the the standard /etc/disktab file
for SCSI Zip cartrages. I do not know where NetBSD stands on the
/etc/disktab file, but these may help people get a ZIP cartrage working for
storage or booting:
# ioMEGA SCSI
# My ZIP drive setup wes@smellycat.com
# old format used in first image I made
IOMEGA_ZIPa|ioMEGA ZIP Cartrage 100Mb:\
:dt=SCSI:se#512:ty=iomega:ns#1024:nt#2:nc#196608:\
:pa#30720:oa#2048:ta=4.2BSD:ba#8192:fa#1024:\
:pb#32768:ob#32768:tb=swap:\
:pc#196608:bc#4096:fc#1024:tc=boot:\
:pd#131072:od#65536:bd#8192:fd#1024:td=4.2BSD:
#
# current bootstrap format that I am using
IOMEGA_ZIPb|ioMEGA ZIP Cartrage 100Mb New 8k boot:\
:dt=SCSI:se#512:ty=iomega:ns#1024:nt#2:nc#196608:\
:pa#26624:oa#2048:ta=4.2BSD:ba#8192:fa#1024:\
:pb#8192:ob#32768:tb=swap:\
:pc#196608:bc#4096:fc#1024:tc=boot:\
:pd#159744:od#36864:bd#8192:fd#1024:td=4.2BSD:
#
# this would work for general storage
IOMEGA_ZIPc|ioMEGA ZIP Cartrage 100Mb storage:\
:dt=SCSI:se#512:ty=iomega:ns#1024:nt#2:nc#196608:\
:pc#196608:bc#8192:fc#1024:tc=4.2BSD:\
These are just ideas. I believe that I have things formatted correctly,
but I would not mind people checking them.
Wes
