Good question; you may have trouble booting from it, if
the stories about scsi-2 are true.

No.

Try :
# disklabel sd1 >/tmp/label
# vi label
(fix label up. 'c' partition and details should be OK)
# dislabel -rRB sd1 /tmp/label
When you're editing the label, make sure you leave a few
hundred K free at the beginning of the disk for the bootstrap.
I've normally used the 'a' partition and left a cylinder free.
