How did you know what to change in the kernel to make the Quantum
work?

Could you commit this change to more than just yourself?

I have still a Quantum Prodrive 425 something that does not go
together with NetBSD. It worked fine with HP-UX and can be connected
to any PC but sucks with NetBSD.  It would be really nice if you could 
arrange it with Jason to integrate your changes.

NetBSD HP300 SCSI is not a really good implementation and this was
talked about in this group quite often. But currently there is no-one
that has either the time or the competence to make the necessary changes.
