Hello ALL:
First i would to say thanks to guys that are give me support and help:
- Stan Brown <stanb@awod.com>
- Michael Wolfson <mw34@cornell.edu>
- Georg Magschok <gio@hilan.de>
- Jim Reid <jim@mpn.cp.philips.com>
Thanks guys!
Second - i would to say how i made a boot of SYS_INST:
- with another scsi disk, a SEAGATE ST31200N ( 1 GB) at address #3, from
HP-UX box: midiainit -v /dev/rdsk/s30
- after that:
dd if=SYS_INST of=/dev/rdsk/s30
- reboot - power reset and select attended mode <space + enter>
- and select 1Z SYS_INST
- when in prompt enter disklabel
- in my opnion it's very hard to understand this operation, but i made
some options using information from disktab of HP-UX
- now another problem, i didn't have access a NFS server (HP-UX machines
that we have are for prodution only!) - The solution: Thanks the NET, i
download a demo copy of a BFS server for NT. Than i installed and put a
copy of miniroot-131.fs at "c:\hp300" and export it.
- Back to HP375 running Sys_inst i select miniroot, i answered all
questions, but at directory, a just said: "/hp300", and no works 8(, so i
tried again, and discovered that the correct directory shoud be:
"c:\hp300" - and works!!! 8)
- After i couple of hours ( why it take a long time?) a choose "boot"
option.
- Miniroot started!
- Now the last problem:
My file sets are in a FTP server. But when i tried to configure my
ethernet card (le0) - it failed! Sorry but i didn't record the messages -
was too late and i was so tired!
But what are options to configure my ethernet interface? currentily i'm
using coax (10base2) to conect this hp375 box.
Ok Guys, that's all for while!
