Hmmm... I've heard of grief w/ Linux's RARP and netbooting.. I wonder if
you're getting bit by something related to that... Although you should still
see network packets related to the rarp... Something's not adding up...

SYS_UBOOT is in control by the time it starts doing the RARPs.
