i had some concerns when i got storage for my z50:  one thing caused me
to worry about the flash ram.  flash ram is destructive media -- its
only good for 10-30k read/writes.
depending on what you plan to use the machine for you could end up with
bad flash in a year.

this being so, i decided to get a microdrive + flash and move those
portions of the distribution that not read/write intensive to the
flash.  at present i am only using the flash for archiving.
