Thanks to the help of the people on this list.. I finally got X installed.. 
unfortunately.. something seems hokey..

1) The mouse (stylus really) acts really wierd.  When I move the stylus
around.. nothing happens..  but if I hit the left shift key.. the cursor jumps
to wherever the stylus is or last touched.  If I hammer on the shift key.. the
cursor jerks around following the stylus, moving each time the shift key is
hit.  Speaking with Matt about this, his behaves completely different from
mine.. so I'm a tad confused here.

2) How the heck do you hit the 2nd and 3rd mouse buttons??

3) The calibration on the stylus appears to be ever so slightly off..  How do
you recalibrate it?

Either way.. I'm really happy with X.  The xterm is *so* much faster than the
raw screen.. and the color and speed are really good.  so thanks..
