	I'm trying to upgrade my hpcmips/1.5 on NEC MobileGear 530 to
	hpcmips/1.5.1_BETA by self compilation.  contantly, I experience
	hard lockup during compilation (requires total hardware reset, by
	removing batteries) and the build never finishes.  is it a normal
	symptom?  as there's no dying message I'm having hard time diagnose
	this.

	NEC MobileGear 530, 32M memory (with 16M memory expansion unit)
	1G microdrive
	Lucent 802.11b card
	hpcmips/1.5
	NFS client
