thanks! (i should have known, as dmesg output does not indicate any found
subsystem, chipset, or configured device)...
<sigh> the linux distribution for the z50 supports audio, but only 16MB
memory... the NetBSD distribution supports installed memory, but no
audio... both distributions support X and the trackpoint...
i'll stick with NetBSD on the z50...
i wonder if it's possible to write a user-space app to demo/use sound
under NetBSD on the z50?
