I haven't tried it with this new kernel, but I did try with a fairly
recent snapshot from last week or the week before. Though the screen did,
in fact, go blank, it never properly woke up :-) The screen was
completely garbled. The same thing also happened when I blanked the
screen in the console for over 24 hours, iirc.
