Success!! Had some more reading to do to set up the dhcp client
(/etc/rc.conf, /etc/dhclient.conf, etc.), and once I did that, ran the
script you provided, voila!
I've got an address and can ping somebody!
I will need to combine the boot process to incorporate your script as
well (maybe interactively ask which to use with a timeout, etc.), but I
should be able to just restart the client when I move from one location
to the other and be set!
