shortens the life of the card. flash disks support far fewer R/W cycles than
magnetic media. in theory, your swap partition might wear out in a time
short enough that you'll notice it.
in practice; if your swap partition is sufficiently large, and the
wear-leveling algorithm in the card sufficiently good, and the amount of
activity sufficiently low (all of which are not unusual in an of
themselves); you shouldn't have any issues.
even if you do; CF disks aren't that expensive anymore; and it's easy to
transfer an installed system from one to another. (once you do it
sucessfully, it'll seem easy).
